In Romans 12:9-21, Paul gives the Roman Christians instructions on how to respond to others with love when life happens to them, – whether good or bad.  In this blog, I want to focus on Romans 12:15a, “Rejoice with them that do rejoice”.

On June 9, 2018, PreacherWoman is holding a gala to honor women whose words and deeds have blessed people and glorified God for years. They have been steadfast in their service, in and out of season. Let me briefly introduce them to you:

– Dr. Patricia Phillips

Dr. Patricia Phillips, a native of East St. Louis and reared with a solid Christian foundation, is united in marriage to Bishop Henry Phillips, Jr. They founded and co-pastor Power of Change Church in Cahokia, Illinois. She is the founder of several ministries, author of several workbooks and books, and recipient of several awards for her excellence in ministry.

– Pastor Arietta Murray

Pastor Murray is the pastor of Oil of God Ministries Church in St. Louis, Mo. The Home page of the church’s web site reflects her commitment to God and His people. It reads as follows:

“WHERE IT’S GOD OR NOTHING. We are committed to serving God and the needs of you and your family. Using universal principles of spirituality, we offer practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant, and peaceful life. Wherever you may be on your spiritual path, at OIL of GOD MINISTRIES you will find a supportive community with a wealth of opportunities for personal growth.”

Even though I will also be honored at this same gala, I want to take this time to say congratulations to my Sisters-in-Ministry. I know it has not always been easy or rewarding or noticed. But whatsoever they did in word or deed, they did all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father. They purposed in their hearts to be fit vessels for the Master’s use, and they succeeded.

God sees all. It is He who exalts. On June 9, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bridgeton, Missouri, these mighty Servants of the Most High God will be honored and celebrated. I invite you to join us. It is biblical to do. “Rejoice with them who do rejoice” (Romans 12:15a). You can purchase tickets at www.preacher-woman.org. I hope to see you there.
